Sunset Towers Office Administrative Intern
May-July 2023
Worked as an administrative office intern at the social housing unit in downtown called Sunset Towers, performing office duties and assisting the Community Engagement sector.
• Playing games with the tenants, walking them to their outdoors activities at the beach, delivering rent review letters to the tenant’s doors
• QUEEN’S HERCAMPUS WRITER+EDITOR: Sept 2021-April 2022
- Writing abilities and familiarity with the use of social media in promoting stories, articles, and building a big fan base and audience on Queen’s HerCampus
- Demonstrated interest in marketing practices, social media business usage, and learning how to effectively exceed target goals for sales

Queen’s University Orientation Week leader: Sept 2020 and Sept 2021
• Orientation Leader two times in 2020 and 2021, for the incoming class of 2024 and 2025: A“Gael”, the name for orientation week leader for the Arts&Science Faculty at Queen’s University and a “Teach” for the Concurrent Education faculty.
• Provided support for new students during their transition to Queen’s with my co-leaders. This was a seven-month long planning and training process, from March when I was initiated as a leader to September when activities commenced.
Q.U T.S Society (Queen’s University Taylor Swift Society): Sept-April 2022
• Alternate chairperson and social media marketing assistant as part of their QU T.S Society executive team leading, coordinating, and announcing events to club members on our instagram page @quswifties and group chat
• Successful club with quickly sold out dinner events, movie nights, skating times, and T- shirt making nights. Later, Taylor Swifts herself, through her marketing and management team “Taylor Nation” sent our society “Class of 2022” merchandise with a signed note as a thank you for efforts to celebrate her work and bring Queen’s students together. This gift signified for us a success for our marketing and planning efforts, vital to this intern role
• Gained social marketing experience through posting about events, making graphics, answering direct messages from student inquiries, and promoting mansion nights and club bonding events on the stories
Interests and hobbies:
• Journalism and in particular breaking news, lifestyle, culture, and entertainment journalism (with the goals of one day pursuing a career in that field first working locally and build my way up to high-caliber companies like the New York Times), administrative work marketing, event planning, public relations, communications , psychology, camping, tutoring, writing, travelling, photography, competitive cheerleading, blogging, listening to motivational podcasts on Spotify from journalistic sources

BCIT Journalism Fall 2023 (future and present):
- Currently a full time student at BCIT Online and Broadcast Journalism Program in September 2023 with a projected career path in journalism.
- In this program will take courses relevant to communications, New Reporting , get exposure to media and entertainment reporting industry, and work internships as part of the program such as at CTV, Daily Hive, etc
- Classes being taken during the 2023-2024 school year: Intro to News Writing, On- Air Performance, Visual Fundamentals, News Reporting, Radio, Video Editing, Web Design, Video Journalism, all done by 2:30 Monday-Friday Term A/3:30 Monday-Friday Term B
