Objective:
To secure a full time position in industry starting in the summer of July 2025 or September 2025. As a final year student at BCIT Journalism, I am eager to dive into the journalism workforce and expand my knowledge of industry practices all while giving back to my community.

BOLTON ACADEMY OF SPOKEN ARTS (BASA) ADMINISTRATION WORK: Sept 2017-June-2019
- Provided customer service to students, parents, and staff during busy class instruction time
- Managed office administration tasks, such as logging payments and student registration for events
- Demonstrated effective communication skills over the phone and in-person for smooth operations
Kids Help Phone Crisis Text Line: March-August 2021
- Trained and worked as a crisis responder powered through Kids Help Phone
- Supported youth in crisis by communicating with them with empathy, calmness, and professional communication
- Sunset Towers Office Administrative Intern
May-July 2023 - Worked as an administrative office intern at the social housing unit in downtown Sunset Towers, performing office duties and assisting the Community Engagement sector.
- Playing games with the tenants, walking them to their outdoors activities at the beach, delivering rent review letters to the tenant’s doors
- Forming activities for the program, record keeping, financial assistance to head admins and completing tasks under their supervision
- Being a first point of contact when our tenants need assistance and direction
QUEEN’S HER CAMPUS WRITER+EDITOR: Sept 2021-April 2022 - Writing abilities and familiarity with the use of social media in promoting stories, articles, and building a big fan base and audience on Queen’s HerCampus
- Demonstrated interest in marketing practices, social media business usage, and learning how to effectively exceed target goals for sales
- Proficiency and familiarity in using MS Word, MS Excel and familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
CLUBHOUSE KIDS/THRIVING KIDS CARE SOCIETY STAFF:
- Employed as Day Camp Staff conducting activities and excursions for the PreTeens group
- Every week lead kids on a new focus theme related to social-emotional values as we participate in the camp activities (arts and crafts, filmmaking, games, field trips)

Queen’s University Orientation Week leader: Sept 2020 and Sept 2021
• Orientation Leader 2020 and 2021, for the incoming class of 2024 and 2025: A“Gael”, the name for orientation week leader for the Arts&Science Faculty at Queen’s University and a “Teach” for the Concurrent Education faculty.
- Provided support for new students during their transition to Queen’s with my co-leaders. This was a seven-month-long planning and training process, from March when I was initiated as a leader to September when activities commenced.
Queen’s University Taylor Swift Society: Sept-April 2023
• Alternate chairperson and social media marketing assistant as part of their QU T.S Society executive team leading, coordinating, and announcing events to club members on our instagram page and group chat
• Gained social marketing and customer service experience through posting about events on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and answering student’s inquiries. Making graphics, answering direct messages and emails, and promoting mansion nights and club bonding events on the social stories have allowed me to understand how and when to best market to our audience (with a big following of over 1.5k followers).
